Current position: Evaluation Specialist, Washington University in St. Louis
Previous positions: Education Specialist- Washington University in St. Louis
Current position description: As part of Institutional Effectiveness in the Office of the Provost at Washington University in St. Louis, I provide my expertise in the assessment of student learning and experience and in the design and implementation of psychosocial interventions and/or programmatic initiatives intended to enhance equity in student outcomes, particularly in STEM fields. My goal is to support data-driven decision making that improves student outcomes at the course, department, and program-level. I collaborate with the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Educational Initiatives, the Center for Teaching and Learning, and a variety of faculty and administrative partners across the university and externally to accomplish this work.
Advice for trainees: Take advantage of all that UW–Madison has to offer- I was able to engage with lots of professional development in teaching, educational research, data science and more while a graduate student at UW–Madison. This, combined with networking with people with similar interests within and outside of UW, helped me find work in a STEM education research group after graduate school.
